The new NVIS Green B compliant keyboard includes filters that remove unwanted light interference between its illuminated keys and night vision goggles.
IKEY adds NVIS Green Compliant keyboard its wide range of rugged keybaords. The keyboard has been third party tested and approved for NVIS Green B compliance. It is applicable in military, law enforcement and emergency medical operations that require some form of effective visual enhancement at night. The color and optical properties of IKEYs filtered rugged keyboard also complies with MIL-STD specifications and standards for night vision goggle compatible lighting displays.
Without filters, like the ones used on IKEYs keyboard, LED backlighting can create a bloom effect that causes the wearer of night vision goggles to see a halo-like glow around lit displays, consequently decreasing visibility. By reducing the interference caused by LED lights, IKEYs keyboard makes consoles both safer and easier to use. Because IKEYs keyboard comes in a compact and mountable case with NVIS compatible LED backlighting, it can be successfully implemented into tanks, airplanes, submarines, helicopters and many custom projects.
